During the last 45 years, children and adults from all over the world have come to ride on the exciting attractions and to enjoy the atmosphere at Disneyland® Park in Anaheim, California. Disneyland® Park first opened its doors to the public back in 1955.

The park is divided into several different areas including Adventureland, New Orleans Square, Fantasyland, and Tommorowland…just to name a few. Tommorowland transports people and gives them a glimpse of the future with exciting attractions and futuristic scenery.

In Tommorowland there is an exciting driving attraction that has been around since Disneyland® Park first opened in 1955—the Autopia Attraction. In fact, this attraction was one of the original 20 attractions to open at the park. For years, kids have been excited to get behind the wheel of a real car and steer their way through an exciting track. The Autopia Attraction allows children to experience the thrill and excitement of driving their own car through the twists and curves of the road. The experience of driving their own car was so popular that at one point there were three separate Autopia Disneyland® Attractions. Over the past 45 years, children and adults have enjoyed getting behind the wheel and driving on the roadways in Tommorowland. But, on Thursday, June 29, people at Disneyland® Park got a pleasant surprise- the Autopia Attraction had been redesigned and was now open.

The newly redesigned Autopia attraction presented by Chevron at Disneyland® Park gives riders the same exciting adventure as the previous attraction but with new roadways, new cars, and the new experience of viewing the road from the car’s perspective. This new Autopia is four-lane superhighway! Also, on this new version of Autopia, the experience begins before the drivers get behind the wheel. Guests enter on an elevated walkway to “The Grandstand” and wind their way through an exciting viewing platform.
