Ethanol is a clear, colorless liquid made from corn. When ethanol is mixed with gasoline it helps the gasoline to burn more efficiently. That means that while you are increasing the number of miles you can go on a gallon of gas you are also reducing the amount of pollution that the car creates.
What Makes Corn Pop?
The corn kernel used for popcorn has a soft starchy center that is covered by a hard shell. When you heat the kernel the natural moisture inside turns to steam and starts building pressure. When enough pressure has been created the corn kernel explodes, forming the crunchy white starchy mass that we all like to eat.
