Gift Ideas

Gift

Do you need to come up with a quick present for someone? Perhaps you’re just looking for something fun to do before the holiday. Or you need a constructive project to while away free time. In any case, here are some easy and fun ideas to work on:

CD Wreath

  • An old CD that no one wants
  • Festive stickers
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Some small magnets or Velcro

  1. Place your CD shiny side up so that the rainbow colors show
  2. Place your stickers anywhere you’d like so that the CD looks pretty
  3. Drizzle some glue onto the CD and sprinkle glitter on top
  4. Tie a cute small bow and glue to the top
  5. Glue magnets on back and put on refrigerator, or attach Velcro to back and stick anywhere!

Apple Cinnamon Ornaments

  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 small container cinnamon
  • Cookie cutters
  • Rolling pin
  • Straw
  • Yarn

  1. Mix applesauce with cinnamon so that it makes a consistency like cookie dough
  2. Roll the dough so it is flat
  3. Using cookie cutters, cut out shapes
  4. Use straw to cut a hole at the top for hanging
  5. Put shapes on a cooling rack and leave in a cool dry place for about 2 to 3 days
  6. Turn the shapes over occasionally until they dry
  7. Tie yarn through the holes and hang
  8. If you want to save them for next year, put them in an airtight container

Glitter Ornament

  • Plain, single colored ornament
  • glue glitter colored jewels with flat bottoms

  1. Drizzle glue in a pattern on your ornament
  2. Sprinkle glitter on the glue
  3. Let dry
