Food Facts
Here are some interesting food facts about the first Thanksgiving celebration ever held, when America was still a British colony and most of the country remained quite unknown to the white settlers who had just come over from Europe.
- Fish
- Birds
- Meat

- Ham - they had no domestic pigs
- Sweet Potatoes or Yams - these were not native to New England
- Corn on the cob - they only had Indian corn which was good for cornmeal, not to be eaten off the cob
