Gift Ideas

presents

Have you done anything for your dad for Father’s Day? Are you planning on doing anything? Well, if by any chance the answer is no, here are some cool ideas that you can do at home. Get out your supplies and have some fun. Dad will love it!

Father’s Day Photo House

  • cardboard
  • construction paper
  • markers or crayons
  • scissors
  • tape or glue
  • photographs of yourself and family

  1. Trace a house on the cardboard and cut it out
  2. Use the cut out and trace it onto construction paper
  3. Cut the construction paper so you have a cardboard and paper house
  4. Cut squares into the construction paper to look like windows
  5. Place the paper on the cardboard and trace the squares onto the cardboard
  6. Tape or glue the photos in the squares of the cardboard and then tape or glue the paper onto the cardboard
  7. The photos should look like you and your family are in the windows of the house
  8. Once the glue dries, decorate the house
  9. Give to your dad to enjoy

Handprint Poem

Make a home-made card or a wall hanging with your handprint on it, and print this poem on it!

  • finger paint
  • paper
  • pen or marker

  1. Place your whole hand in paint
  2. Place your hand onto your paper to make a handprint
  3. Wait for it to dry and then write this poem on the paper:

My Handprint

Sometimes you get discouraged Because I am so small And always leave my fingerprints On furniture and walls But everyday I’m growing big And soon I’ll be very tall Then all my little handprints Will be hard to recall So here’s a special handprint Just so that you can say this is how my fingers looked when I placed them here today.
