A number of earlier articles have been dedicated to Native American history. There were many tribes that have been living in this country long before anyone ever settled here from Europe. So, we decided to honor these people by giving some insight into the many different cultures and tribes that have paid respect to the earth in the past, and that still thrive today.

Because there are so many tribes that exist, it would be impossible to honor each one. Here, we touched upon a few beliefs, prophecies, traditions and people from different tribes. However, keep in mind that there is more to each tribe than we can discuss here. Take it upon yourself to read and learn as much as you can about Native American’s history and culture elsewhere, not onlu because their beliefs should be held in the highest regard but also they are relevant to the growing sense of environmental awareness around the globe.
