Wonderful Windmill Project

Windmill

Do have a garden in the front of your house? Do you have a backyard? Do you have a window in your bedroom that needs a decoration? Here’s a fun and really easy art project that you can do at home with just a few simple supplies-make your own windmill. And the best part is that you can decorate your final windmill in any way you want. Be creative and most importantly-have fun!

  • 1 square sheet of paper- the size depends on how large you want to make the windmill
  • Pencil with an eraser
  • Straight Pin
  • Scissors

  1. First take your square sheet of paper and fold it diagonally.
  2. Then open the square piece of paper and fold it diagonally again the other way. You should now see an “x” along the center of the paper when it is opened.
  3. Cut along the 4 “x” creases until about 1 inch from the center of the paper.
  4. Pick up one corner of each of the cuts and bring it towards the center of the paper (you will 4 corners coming in to the center and 4 remaining.
  5. Take the straight pen and stick in through the 4 corners that you brought to the center and then stick it through the eraser on the pencil.
  6. Decorate your windmill anyway you want (colors, stickers, etc.) and then place where it will catch some wind and watch it spin!
