Valentine’s Day Projects
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! February 14 is officially Valentine’s Day. We’ve gotten a lot of ideas from you, and now we’ll give you some of our ideas for recipes and crafts. Have someone in mind to be your Valentine? Even if you don’t, you can have fun making these. You have all weekend to work on this, so make this Valentine’s Day special.
Butterflies
- red and white Construction paper
- glue
- red and white pipe cleaners
- scissors
- glitter
- Cut 2 big red hearts
- Cut 2 white hearts that are smaller than the red ones
- Put the points of the red hearts together, and glue
- Put the white hears on top of the red hearts with points together.
- Glue white hearts on top of red hearts with points together (this will make the wings of your butterfly)
- Twist red and white pipe cleaners together and glue to center of hearts (this is the body of the butterfly)
- Make sure to leave about 1 inch of pipe cleaner loose on the top so you can curl them and make the antennae
- Drip some glue on the wings, and sprinkle glitter on top
- Write on the back and hand out as a Valentine, or hang in your house!
Pizza
- Cookie cutters the shape of hearts (Any cookie cutters will do, but for Valentine’s Day, you’ll want heart shaped ones)
- Bread to toast
- Pizza sauce
- Cheese
- Any yummy toppings you like on pizza
- Toast a few slices of bread
- Cut shapes into toasted bread with cookie cutter
- Spread pizza sauce on toast
- Spread cheese on top and any other toppings
- Place on toaster pan covered in aluminum foil
- Toast until cheese is melted.
- Enjoy!
