Make Slippery Slime
Since we’ve drenched you with information about floods in other places on this site, here is a fun project that includes some water. Make real SLIME!
This most unpleasant of substances (usually) can give you and your friends (though not necessarily your parents) many hours of icky sticky fun. Best of all, the slime is clean.
Our only warning: however tempted you may be, make sure not to eat any of it!
- 2 cups white glue (Elmer’s or just white craft glue. Please make sure glue used is water-soluble)
- 2 cups Water
- Food colorings
- 1 tsp. Borax
- 2 Old bowls
- Mix the glue and 1 1/2 cups of water and a few drops of food coloring together.
- In the second bowl, dissolve the borax and 1/2 cup water.
- Once dissolved, add it to the glue mixture.
- Now, wash your hands and knead the slime with your hands (it will take about 10 minutes).
- If you want the texture to be more slimy, just add…you guessed it…more water!
- Knead it and have fun!
Remember that this can get stuck on clothes and in your hair so be careful when using it.
