Legend says that if you kiss the Blarney Stone in Ireland you will receive the gift of persuasive eloquence. The kisser will be able to speak sweetly and convincingly to anyone they encounter. Try this fun project where you can make your own stones. With this project, you can put a special gift inside the stone. If you want, you can also try to put some magic into it!

• 1 cup flour
• 1/4 cup salt
• 1/4 cup sand
• 1/4 cup sand
• 1 cup water
• Markers, crayons and stickers

1. Prepare a flour surface
2. In a medium sized bowl, mix all of the ingredients into a dough
3. Next, knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth
4. Break the dough apart into desired sizes for the stones
5. Hide toys or gifts inside the dough
6. Set aside and let the rocks dry for about 3-4 days
7. When dry, decorate the stones with pictures, different colors, and stickers

Once the dough is dry, they will be hard and solid. You can then give these out as gifts or keep them for yourself. When you are ready, ask an adult to help you crack open the stones with a hammer to reveal the treasure you have hidden inside. Or, leave them as solid stones and keep the hidden treasure inside a secret.
