To go with your dyed Easter eggs, how about an Easter chick?

Not a real one that chirps of course, but one that you can make and keep and might look just like the real thing.

• yellow food coloring
• cotton balls
• egg carton
• scissors
• marker
• shredded paper (any color)
• orange paper

1. Dilute yellow food coloring with water.
2. Dip one large cotton ball into the mixture and let dry.
3. Cut egg carton into individual sections
4. Place a bit of shredded paper in bottom of section.
5. When yellow cotton ball is dry, draw eyes on top with marker
6. Cut out very small triangle of orange paper
7. Glue triangle onto yellow cotton ball for chick’s beak.
8. Sit chick in carton section to make an Easter basket home for it.
