Get ready for the Easter Bunny with this Easter basket project. All you need is a simple basket of some sort, a plastic fruit basket you get in grocery stores will do just fine. You will use colored papers, tape and other things you might have lying around to help decorate it and turn it into something special.

• Plastic strawberry basket
• Colored paper or ribbons
• Green paper or cellophane
• Scissors
• Tape

1. Cut strips of colored paper or ribbon to fit through the holes of the strawberry basket.
2. Starting at the bottom, weave one of your colored strips through the holes of the basket vertically. Tape the ends together.
3. Continue doing this with different colors through the holes of the basket. You should have layer upon layer of colors.
4. Then, take some green paper or cellophane and cut it up to look like grass and place it inside your basket.
5. If you’d like, you can attach a handle. Be creative with it. Some ideas that you could use for your handle are cardboard, pipe cleaners, paper clips, wire. Have fun with it!
