PRINT ITA Caterpillar to Call Your Own
Here is a cute and easy-to-make caterpillar that you can design to be as realistic or as outlandish as you like. Ask an adult for a helping hand.
- Scissors
- Cardboard egg carton
- 2 pipe cleaners
- Non-toxic paint
- Paint brushes
- Glue
- Glitter, buttons, stickers
- Cut the lid off the egg carton and keep the part of the carton that held the eggs.
- Cut down the long, center section of the carton. You will have two rows of six cups. Each row is a caterpillar body.
- Cut a pipe cleaner in half and poke each half through a cup at one end of the body. These are the antennae. Repeat for the second body.
- Paint the bodies and let the paint dry.
- If you like, decorate your caterpillars with glitter, buttons or stickers.
