Squishy-Dishy Worm Snacks
Serve up a plate of these squishy-dishy worms for a very special and unusual treat. You will enjoy seeing how your friends, family and other loved ones react.
Be sure to ask a real adult who is not terrified of worms (are there any?) and similar creatures to help you with this unique recipe.
- 2/3 cup of juice
- unflavored gelatin
- square cake pan
- mixing spoon
- drinking straws
- cutting board
- rolling pin
- Ask your helpful adult assistant to boil the juice.
- Pour one packet of unflavored gelatin into the cake pan.
- Ask your adult assistant to carefully pour the boiling water into the pan.
- Gently stir until the gelatin has dissolved.
- When the mixture has cooled a little, sink the straws into the mixture so that they fill up with the gelatin. (If the straws float, put some jars on top of them.)
- Refrigerate until firm (approximately 4 hours).
- Place the chilled straws on a cutting board.
- Use the rolling pin to gently push and squish the worms out of the straws.
- Heap your worms on a plate and serve!
