Summer Freeze
Cool off on a sizzling summer day with this tasty and easy recipe. Ask an adult for a helping hand. They’ll probably enjoy this recipe as much as you will.
This recipe uses strawberries, a favorite summer fruit, as its base, but you should be able to experiment with other fruits that you might enjoy more: blueberries, raspberries, and so on.
A dash of patience will also help. You need to freeze the concoction first, so be sure to wait till it is nicely frozen before enjoying it just the way you want.
- Measuring cup
- Blender
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries.
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cups low-fat strawberry yogurt.
- Freezer-proof 3 cup container.
- Ask an adult to help you.
- Pour the strawberries into the blender.
- Pulse briefly.
- Add the honey and yogurt to the strawberries.
- Continue pulsing until well mixed.
- Pour into the freezer-proof container.
- Freeze until hard.
- Before serving, take mixture out of the freezer and let it thaw slightly, about 20 minutes. Enjoy!
