Strazzleblerry Milkshakes
Running through sprinklers, water fights, and swimming, are all good ways to cool off on a sizzling hot summer day. They’re also a good way to work up an appetite. Here’s a cool, smooth, heat-busting treat that’s easy to make. Pick your favorite berry or mix all the summer berries together for a taste that can’t be beat. Don’t forget to ask an adult to help you. You’ re sure to get cooperation if you let your helper lick the spoon.
- 2 1/2 cups of your favorite berries such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or blueberries. Or mix ‘em all up!
- 1 pint nonfat vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
- 1/2 cup nonfat milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- colander
- blender
- 4 tall glasses
Strazzleblerry Milkshakes
- Wash the berries and drain them in the colander.
- Remove any green leaves or stems.
- Place the ice cream or yogurt in the blender.
- Then put the berries in, but save about 4 to 8 small berries for later.
- Pour the milk in next and follow up with the honey.
- Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Pour into glasses.
- Place one or two berries on top of each milkshake.
- Enjoy!
