Snake Cookies and Banana Pops

Hungry? Here are some delicous and simple recipes to try. They use things most kids love including M&Ms, honey, peanut butter and cocoa. Oh yes, candy sprinkles, nuts, raisins and other fine items are part of the recipes too. Enjoy!

Snake Cookies

  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
  • 1/2 Cup Raisins
  • Mini M&Ms
  • wax paper

  1. Mix the peanut butter and powdered milk until blended.
  2. Stir in the honey, cocoa, vanilla, nuts and raisins. Be sure to add each ingredient in the order listed.
  3. Roll the mixture into small snakes.
  4. Using a little peanut butter, attach 2 mini M&Ms for eyes.
  5. Put the snakes on wax paper on a cookie sheet.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator until very firm.

Banana and Honey Pops

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup topping of choice- toasted and sliced almonds, candy sprinkles, graham cracker crumbs, small peanut butter chips, etc
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 6 wooden popsicle sticks
  • Wax paper

  1. Cut bananas in half lengthwise.
  2. Place one wooden popsicle stick in each banana half so the banana is supported-about 2 inches.
  3. Spread the topping of your choice on a piece of wax paper.
  4. Pour honey on banana halves so they have a thin coat of honey.
  5. Roll each banana half in topping until it is completely coated-you make to use your hands to slightly tap the topping so it sticks.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
