New Cars Pudding

While we’re all anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Chevron Cars at the end of May, why not play around with Tyler’s hints… he revealed that the new cars are a rainbow of colors, green, red, yellow and purple. Here’s an edible version of the Chevron Car colors. Be sure to have a real adult help you.

  • 1 each small package of gelatin dessert mix in the following 4 colors(flavors):
  • Green (lime)
  • Red (cherry, raspberry, or strawberry)
  • Yellow (lemon)
  • Purple (grape or blackberry)
  • 1 quart lemon or pineapple sherbet
  • Whipped cream
  • Measuring cup
  • 4 mixing bowls
  • Hand beater or whisk
  • Glass bowl that holds 8 cups of liquid

Do the first 4 steps separately for each of the gelatin colors.

  1. Put the gelatin mix into a bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of boiling water and stir to dissolve the gelatin.
  3. Cool the gelatin mixture to room temperature.
  4. When cooled, add 3/4 cup sherbet and mix in with the beater or whisk.
  5. One color at a time, in the order listed, carefully pour the cooled gelatins into the glass bowl: purple on the bottom, then green, yellow and red on top.
  6. Put the pudding in the refrigerator until completely set.
  7. To serve, scoop out the servings at an angle so you can see all the layers.
  8. Put a dollop of whipped cream on top.
