Homemade Guacamole Recipe
Cinco de Mayo is generally celebrated with great parties, parades, and dancing. Food is also an integral part of these celebrations. Mexican food is very delicious and is very popular and prevalent in the United States. Try this fun and tasty recipe for guacamole. Make sure you ask an adult for help with the cutting of ingredients.
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons prepared salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
- Peel the avocados, remove the pits, and spoon the rest into a bowl
- Mix together the onion, cilantro, garlic, lemon juice and salt
- Add the salsa and mix together
- You can eat this fresh guacamole with chips, or as a topping on other delicious Mexican foods such as burritos, tacos, or nachos.
