Halloween Treats!
Halloween is just over a week away. Make sure you read next week’s edition of the Tribune to find out about the history of Halloween and read about how to carve the perfect pumpkin. Make sure you ask an adult with cooking experience for help with the stove.

Creepy Cobweb Treats
- 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Plastic squeeze bottle with small opening
- Beat all of the ingredients together until smooth and put in a small plastic squeeze bottle.
- Grease a large skillet and place over a medium heat.
- Working quickly, squeeze out 4-5 straight lines about 3 inches long and have them intersect at the center.
- Then, working from the center out-make thin circular rings with the batter so that they touch each line-like a spider web.
- Cook until light brown (about 60 seconds) and then flip and cook the other side.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar, cover with jam or any other sweet topping!
