Tricks and Treats
Whether you’re having a ghostly gathering or just feeling in the strange and eerie spirit of it all, here are some fiendishly clever ideas for Halloween.
They include a very special punch, a truly ghostly treat, fine witches fingers, delicious monster ears and some gooey ghouls. Scary stuff by any measure, so be sure to ask an adult goblin to help you.
Lend a Hand Punch
- A new latex glove
- Rubber band
- Your favorite flavor of punch
- A punch bowl
- Wash out the glove.
- Fill the glove with water
- Fasten the glove closed with the rubber band.
- Put it in the freezer.
- Make up the punch in the bowl and float the frozen glove in the punch.
Ghostly Treats
- Round headed lollipops
- White handkerchiefs, tissues or cloth squares
- Twist-tie, string or rubber band
- Black pen or marker
- Place the lollipop head in the center of the white cloth.
- Gather the cloth down around the stick and tie tightly with twist-tie, string or rubber band just below the head.
- With the pen make two black dots for eyes.
Witches Finger
- Put an almond slice at the tip of a baby carrot.
Monster Ears
- Slice an apple and use peanut butter for inside of ear.
Gooey Ghouls
- Stack two giant marshmallows and form then into a ghost shape.
- Make eyes and a mouth with frosting.
