Peppermint Topping

Here’s a fun way to dress up your next batch of muffins or cupcakes for the holidays. Sweet and crunchy, this easy topping will make any treat a jolly one. Ask an adult elf to help you with this recipe. If you can’t find one, a regular adult will do.

• 1 Tablespoon butter
• 1 1/2 Tablespoons crushed peppermint candy
• 2 Tablespoons flour
• Bowl
• Fork

1. Be sure the butter is soft.
2. Put all the ingredients in the bowl.
3. Mix with the fork until the mixture is crumbly.
4. When you have filled the muffin cups with batter, top each one with 1 teaspoon peppermint topping.
5. Bake according to the muffin recipe instructions.
6. Be sure to allow the muffins to cool before eating them.

Candy Cane Ornament

Just twist a white pipe cleaner and a red pipe cleaner together, bend one end to make the crook, and you have your own candy cane ornament for the tree or to decorate Christmas packages.
