Chocolate Bananas
Few things spark a kid’s appetite like chocolate bananas. Perhaps its the healthy fruit inside that they want? On the other hand, the enduring popularity of banana splits show that this fruit is a natural for dessert. Try this recipe - you will likely want to try it again!
- Cutting board
- Knife
- 6 wooden popsicle sticks
- Medium-sized cooking pan
- 3 bananas
- 1 12-oz package of chocolate chips
- Peel each banana and cut in half lengthwise
- Put one popsicle stick into the flat cut side of each banana
- Place all of the bananas on a cookie sheet and place in the freezer for about 1-2 hours
- Pour the chocolate chips into the cooking pan and heat over a low heat while continually stirring
- Once all of the chocolate chips have melted turn off the heat
- Slowly roll each banana in the chocolate until they are completely covered
- Place the bananas on the cookie sheet and put back in the freezer until the chocolate freezes (about 1/2 hour)
- Eat and enjoy!
