Chippy Dogs
Whether it’s for a summer picnic or backyard get-together, the next time your family fires up the grill try this fun and easy recipe. An everyday hot dog will become a crunchy treat that everyone will want to taste. Even Cornelius Vanderbilt would approve.
Don’t forget to ask an adult for help.
- 1 package (5 ounce) potato chips
- 6 hot dogs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- hot dog buns
- wax paper
- Crush the chips on the wax paper.
- Split the hot dogs.
- Brush the hot dogs generously with mayonnaise.
- Roll the hot dogs in the potato chips until all sides are covered.
- Ask an adult to grill the hot dogs over medium coals and to turn them occasionally until golden.
- Serve in buns.
- Crunch away!
