If a car is broken down on the freeway they’ll pull it out of harms way and provide the needed gallon of gas, mount the spare tire or jumpstart the dead battery on the spot. And if they can’t fix the car, they’ll tow it to a repair shop. But that’s not all.

Tow truck drivers often work with firemen and police officers to rescue people from automobile accidents, freeing them from smashed cars and pulling them away if there is a risk of fire. Tow trucks clear freeways after accidents so that other motorists can travel safely and firemen often call them to tow cars that block their way to a fire. They also move any nearby cars that are at risk of catching on fire. Tow trucks and their drivers are brave, hard workers that help people in perilous situations.
