The Trumpet of the Swan
Louis is a young cygnet swan who finds that he doesn’t have a voice. And to make matters worse, he’s fallen in love with a beautiful swan and he can’t tell her. His father helps in the only way he knows how, by stealing a trumpet for Louis. Louis now has a voice of sorts, but he feels the need to pay for the stolen trumpet, so he leaves his comfortable wilderness to go to the city and work odd jobs. With the help of his 11-year-old human friend, Sam and his trumpet, Louis learns a lot about himself and others. He overcomes his handicap of having no voice and eventually is able to express his love.
