Tom’s Midnight Garden
Tom is a young boy who has to go live with his Aunt and Uncle because his brother is sick at home. At first, he is bored and lonely in the old house with no friends. The only thing that interests him is listening to the chiming of an old grandfather clock that stands downstairs in the house. He was told that the clock belonged to Mrs.Bartholomew, the owner of the house, and that he should never touch it. One night, at midnight, he hears the clock strike thirteen. He tiptoes downstairs and is amazed to find the moon shining on the most beautiful and wonderful garden. This garden, however, was definitely not there when he went to bed. Night after night Tom visits this mysterious garden that only appears when the clock strikes thirteen. In this garden, time does not move in the same way as it does in the real world. He also meets a girl named Hattie who is from a different place and time.
Join Tom on his adventures in the mysterious and ghostly garden. Find out how time moves differently in this garden and how Tom becomes friends with a girl from a different time and place.
